Baby Watch!!! My Nephew is Coming Soon!!!

Any day now. . . here comes Exavior!!! I am going to be Auntie x 2 and I can't wait to meet him! We are officially on baby watch, grabbing the phone each time it rings because it might be "the baby" call! If Pryscilla hangs on all week then the c-section is scheduled for this Friday!

Dee Dee is looking forward to becoming a big sister - and a big cousin almost all at once. I think its a little overwhelming for her, but she's a smart cookie and she's taking it all in stride!

My dad is gettin 2 grandbabies in one month - how bout that?!!? Pretty exciting stuff going on in our family these days. And Exavior's nickname is "The X-Man"!! How cute is that?

I've been catching up a bit on my poor, neglected blog, so if you scroll down you will catch some updates on what we've been up to.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!APPROVAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FINALLY!!!! We are almost on our way and can't wait to finally meet Chianna in person and bring her home. I can't believe it is finally actually going to happen. Late last Thursday night we received an email from INS in Hanoi with our preliminary approval for our i600 application - which is the application for Chianna's Visa to come home. The email also stated that we had permission to travel to Vietnam!!!

We're almost there, sweet baby!

Now all we need is our appointment for the G&R ceremony and we're off to Vietnam!

Now on to making plans for travel, packing lists, picking hotels.

Don't Mess With My Rachael!

Oh, you have done it now, Anthony Bordain: you are on The Piss List* for sure. I used to like your show, I watched it often, I even DVRd it; never again. You are banned from my TV forever. You shouldn't have said rude things about Rachael Ray. That is just not cool. She is nice and bubbily and makes me smile. So, Mr. "Chefy", No Reservations is right, no reservations for you at my table or on my TV. I'm sure you don't care, and that's fine with me because I don't care about you.

*And for those of you who don't know, The Piss List is similar to another "list" but since you also had to ake a shot at dogs too, your are on The Piss List, meaning that I hope every dog that passes you by takes a whiz on your stupid 1989 jeans.

See the full story here and also catch up with some great Rachael Ray pics.

For the record, Rachael Ray takes the high road and says she still loves Anthony Bordain, so I can hate him for her. I hope he chokes on the fruit basket. If he is not nice, then I don't have to be either. Why don't you have a few more helpings of blow fish?

Rained out of the Hatsume Festival

Myke and I were planning on going to the Hatsume Festival at the Morikami Gardens (which is where we got married almost 3 years ago). But the rain kept us from making the trek up to Delray to celebrate the arrival of Spring the Japanese way. Luckily my friend Sheryl was able to brave the elements and even catch this great video:

Queen of the WORLD!

Dee Dee in the bubble bath!

Whenever Dee Dee comes to spend the night with us she always wants to take a bubble bath so that she can use my bubble bath jet machine, it makes A LOT of bubbles. This time we put her in the bath and left the machine running while we tended to the dogs and cleaned up in the kitchen. She started calling for us, we came running to find. . . .

After we turned off the jet and finished out pictures, we left the bathroom so she could finish her bath and as we walked away we hear her yell "I'm Queen of the World!!!"
ROFL it was so funny. I guess she is Queen of the Bubble Bath World! She loves that bubble bath!

Baking For St. Patty's Day

Getting ready for St. Patrick's Day!

Dee Dee & Uncle Mykie have really been enjoying baking with each other. She is really good at it and does almost everything herself with only a little bit of help from Myke. She really liked the idea of adding green food coloring to white cake to make green cupcakes for St. Patty's Day! Enjoy the photos!

Adoption News Update!

Hi Everyone!

I am in Austin, TX this week at a convention, but I wanted to post a quick and over due update.

Chianna's i600 (Visa Application) is being filed today in Vietnam! This is and important step getting us that much closer to traveling. All the paperwork is completed on the Vietnamese side of things, we are just waiting on final approval on the i600 and then notice for travel!

We needed to get her medical report translated and it was an extremely difficult process, evidently it was very hard to transcribe word for word all the medical terms, so the orphanage took her to a clinic for a new medical report - this clinic specifically translates medical reports, so that is how we had to work around it and got it done!

So it looks like we are in the final stages of the process here. Hopefully we will be traveling within the next 3 - 5 weeks, but no way to be sure exactly when it will be.

Stay tuned for details and keep all those positive thoughts coming our way! We are not too far away from our little girl now!

And as my friend Jenn commented - "The Final Countdown"IS TOTALLY playing in my head!

Hugs,
Shari

Here are the rules:
  1. Go to your pictures folder & select the 6th folder.
  2. Select the 6th picture in the folder.
  3. Tag 6 people.
Pretty easy, huh? Here's mine:
